They have the dream - which is that all their gorgeous collection, their stash, of Fat Quarters can be tidily placed so firstly they can gloat over them, then secondly figure out a way to use them up. It is for those who eventually get to the third option which is it's too expensive to move house, something's gotta go.....
The site is also an inexpensive way of selling off your surplus, whilst maybe finding that piece you saw once, but can't remember when, where or even how many years ago. Yes, for the uninitiated, quilters and patchworkers are a dedicated lot who never give up searching for the perfect 'piece'.
This site is also a way of finding out what's happening near you and making new quilting friends. This applies whichever country you may reside in and is a good way to meet fellow enthusiasts and get new ideas when visiting abroad. All members can advertise their events and afterwards display a photograph and a short article about it, if they choose.
Everyone likes or needs a break now and then and members can show on their pages, by visiting their 'Update Profile' the dates when they are unavailable to read orders sent to them by email. Thus buyers can put in their orders for your attention on your return.
It costs very little to send a fat quarter, a piece of fabric measuring 22" x 18" or 56 x 46 centimeters through the post, which makes international browsing and buying very viable. Thus, this site is for everyone who has a credit card to pay through Pay Pal; you do not need to open a Pay Pal account, or, if you don't want to pay using this method, suitable other arrangements can be made for whatever country you are buying and, or, selling in around the world direct with buyer or seller. It's a genuine market place.
